Viva Las Vegas

Greetings,

When we last left you, we were headed for a visit in the LA area with Sam and Nan Mazzilli. It was great to see them and, as usual, we ate too much of Sam's pasta. We only stayed one night, but were able to catch up on all the latest. Hopefully, they'll come to see us in FL this winter???

We left the Mazzilli's and headed for Las Vegas, stayed overnight in Barstow, and arrived Vegas last Saturday afternoon. We stayed at the Circus Circus RV park located on the north end of "the Strip". From there, we took a one day guided tour of both Mt. Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Fantastic! We also went to see Love, a Cirque de Soleil show which incorporates Beatles' music. We watched the Tampa Bays Rays wrap up their ALDS against the Chicago White Sox on Monday pm and Jim cashed in his "over-under" bet at the Hilton (the Rays had to win more than 76 regular season games - they won 97). How 'bout dem Rays?

We left Vegas yesterday am and headed for Albuquerque, NM. The route took us to and over Hoover Dam. It is a true testament to what people are capable of envisioning and then creating. Later on we stopped along the way and played a beautiful municipal golf course in Williams AZ named Elephant Rock.

We stayed overnight at the KOA in Flagstaff, AZ. We'll be off to Albuquerque (where we'll be going to the International Hot Air Balloon Festival) in a few minutes. We'll be spending a few days in New Mexico, where we'll also go to Santa Fe, Roswell (alien country) and Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

Our weather continues to be picture-perfect as we travel around this beautiful country. Our days are dwindling now - just 25 more to go. We'll write again soon.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hi Guys,

Got your message today, thanks for calling. My biopys report was phoned to me about an hour ago. I'm good. No cancer cells found.
I'll drink that...well, what's new in that.

The blog is cool, pictures continue to be excellent. Who's the paparazzi?.

What's your take on the political climate as you travel about in the mostly very red states?
